Offshore Wind

Savills has been at the forefront of the offshore wind industry in Scotland for a number of years and advised Equinor on the world’s first floating windfarm off the Aberdeenshire coast. Advising offshore wind developers has been a cornerstone of Savills business in Scotland and the company has strong connections with offshore wind developers. We understand developers’ requirements and the engineering complexities involved in delivering the ScotWind projects.

Savills has advised developers including OceanWinds, Scottish Power Renewables and Vattenfall on major offshore projects.

Commercial Property

Savills provides commercial development advice, strategic asset management and commercial agency services to a wide variety of fund managers, institutional investors and property development companies.

Occupational Advice to the Energy Sector

Savills provides strategy occupation advice to clients across a variety of sectors, including traditional oil and gas clients together with renewable and clean energy clients.

The Savills team in Aberdeen has provided strategic occupational advice to energy sector clients for industrial, manufacturing and office space. Our key clients include Total Energies, Repsol Sinopec, Boskalis Subsea and Worley.

Savills can broker lease transactions with occupiers operating in the offshore wind market to ensure that the right facilities are marketed to the right tenants.

Commercial / Large Industrial Projects

Savills are currently appointed by Repsol Sinopec Resources UK Limited to advise on a potential c.60,000 sq.ft office relocation. We also won a competitive pitch with LaSalle Investment Management to market the c.200,000 sq.ft BP HQ office at Wellheads Avenue - one of the largest standalone office buildings in the North of Scotland.

Savills advised Energy Transition Zone Limited in the acquisition of Irvin House in Aberdeen (c.50,000 sq.ft), and advised NOV in their c.200,000 sq.ft industrial acquisition at Midmill, Kintore – one of the largest pre-let industrial deals in the North East of Scotland in recent years.

Logistics

Savills National is our dedicated industrial and logistics team that acts for real estate funds, investors, developers and occupiers in this specialist market. The team advises clients on the development and asset management of key logistics and industrial sites across the United Kingdom.

Marine

Savills has a specialist marine development team advising on port expansion and quayside regeneration projects. The team’s experience includes advising on the Humberside Energy Park, London Wharf and the Solent Freeport Consultation.

Savills’ capability in the marine sector is instrumental in advising port owners and investors in configuring their assets to meet the demands of Scotwind.
